The Knights of Columbus was founded by the Venerable Servant of God, Father Michael J. McGivney in 1882 to support its members and their families. It has grown into the largest Catholic Fraternal Organization in the world. Founded on the principals of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity, the Order is active in many charitable programs and works to protect the rights of Catholics, the unborn, those treated with injustice, and the impoverished throughout the world.
To date the Knights of Columbus has donated over $1.36 Billion to charity and nearly 640 million hours of service in the past decade. Members are able to take part in our world class insurance program, which has over $80 Billion of insurance in force. Knights of Columbus Insurance is one of only a few insurance companies in the US and Canada to receive the top scores from all rating agencies.
